Children’s Corner is a simple “Train Set” style layout featuring characters from a well known children’s television programme. The layout is designed so that it is operated by children. The layout is built in a simple train set style. It has an oval of track with a station at the front. Control is by means of a Scalextrix style hand throttle, which can be operated by a child. There is a timing mechanism that limits operating sessions to spells of just over 2
minutes each. The purpose of this is to allow the adult in charge of the layout to make sure each child gets a fair turn at driving his/her
hero(s). We usually aim offer a child a choice of who they drive.
