Association of Model Railway Clubs Wales & West of England

Rhineside is based on an actual location on the west bank of the River Rhine in Germany.  You will see an intensive service of trains, just like the real railway.  The period modelled is from 1990 just after the unification of Germany to 2002 when the new high-speed line opened avoiding this scenic route.  Rhineside has a 10ft scenic section showing the double track hugging the river bank and ducking in and out of tunnels.  The trains are stored in a 10 track fiddle yard behind.  The trains are from Tillig, Roco and Piko and are in current production.  The layout is not digital but uses many of MERG electronic components.
