Greenford Broadway

Greenford Broadway was conceived and built by Tony Dean, with help from fellow Marlow, Maidenhead & District Club members Alan Monk and Harry Pollard. I provided items of rolling stock for use on the layout. In Autumn 2025 I acquired the layout and, with Tony’s blessing, set about modifying it to suit my own requirements. It portrays a fictitious station close to the real location of Greenford Broadway in Northwest London and is set in the mid 1950’s to early 1960’s.The beauty of Tony’s idea is that it gives enormous scope to run a huge variety of ‘modellers license’ services, including London Transport and British Railways London Midland, Eastern and Western regions. The layout also features my homage to a childhood memory and favourite structure...The Hoover Building…but on a smaller scale and in a different guise.
